Family Therapy Program near Santa Rosa, CA

At Azure Acres Treatment Center in Santa Rosa, California, we recognize that when an individual suffers from drug and alcohol addiction his or her loved ones suffer right alongside.

Family members and friends of alcoholics and addicts often feel hurt and confused by what they have experienced and at a loss for how to help them recover. It is for this reason that we extend an invitation to the families of our residents to participate in our Family Program.

We believe that the participation of family in an individual’s treatment is not only beneficial to all those involved, but that it is also crucial to the overall success of the treatment experience. It is in our ongoing effort to expand and enhance our services to best meet the needs of both residents and their families that we created a new, vibrant, and dynamic Family Program. Our Family Program is designed as a two day intensive, offered Friday and Saturday on alternate weeks. We aim to unravel some of the mysteries surrounding the disease of addiction, and to help families begin to identify ways in which substance use has impacted their family system. In addition, our knowledge of recovery shows us that recovery is an ongoing process that does not end when treatment terminates. Thus, we seek to guide families in their efforts to assist their loved one along his or her journey in a way that feels both mutually supportive as well as effective.
