Admissions

Azure Acres Recovery Center has helped individuals struggling with addiction build a strong foundation for long-term recovery since 1959. Azure Acres provides high-quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment for adults near Santa Rosa, California.

Beginning treatment for many people can be intimidating, but at Azure Acres, we have designed our admissions process to be as smooth as possible. Prospective residents, families, and referents are free to contact us directly during regular business hours when our onsite admissions team and department directors will be available to answer any questions and begin the admissions process. After hours, individuals can contact our National Resource Center 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Once the initial call has been completed, the admissions team will complete a comprehensive screening assessment. During the phone call and initial screening, Azure staff will screen for any issues that may prevent us from providing a successful treatment experience, including serious mental illness, danger to self, and danger to others. In addition, due to the occasionally steep terrain at Azure, we also ensure that prospective residents are able to move freely. The admissions team will also coordinate insurance benefits and financial coverage. Azure Acres is in-network for many major insurance companies.

Once an individual has completed the screening process and been determined to be eligible for admission, he or she will be given an admission date and will work with the admissions team to address any remaining insurance or financial issues. In addition, the admissions team will work with each individual to determine the proper level of care, including detox, residential, partial hospitalization/day treatment, or intensive outpatient care.

At Azure Acres, we make every effort to assess and approve admissions in the most timely manner possible. We believe in the care we provide and want to ensure that every person in need receives care as quickly as possible.

We are happy to provide substance abuse treatment for men and women aged 18 and older, and we use criteria from the American Society of Addiction Medicine (ASAM) to determine proper placement for our clients in our various levels of care. Prospective residents should have a history of substance abuse. While we are able to help residents with co-occurring mental health conditions, residents must have a primary substance abuse diagnosis.

At Azure Acres, we have more than 60 years of experience helping individuals overcome substance use disorders. If you or your loved one might benefit from our services, please do not hesitate to contact us to discuss treatment at Azure.
