What to Bring to Azure

Azure Acres Recovery Center has helped individuals struggling with addiction build a strong foundation for long-term recovery since 1957. Azure Acres provides high-quality alcohol and drug abuse treatment for adults near Santa Rosa, California.

To ensure your safety and full involvement in treatment, we ask that you bring certain items with you to Azure Acres Treatment Center and leave certain items at home:

What to Bring

  • One bag with enough comfortable clothes to last one week (please do not bring any clothing that advertises alcohol or drug products or clothing that is provocative or revealing)
  • Comfortable shoes (i.e., tennis shoes, shower shoes/thongs, slippers)
  • Exercise clothes
  • Jacket and/or warm sweater (temperatures are usually mild but can drop as low as 40 degrees in winter)
  • Swimsuit and beach towel (summer months)
  • Toiletries
  • Feminine hygiene supplies
  • Pillow or comforter (if desired — we provide bedding and a set of towels)
  • Spending money for small items (less than $100 — we go to the store for clients twice a week)
  • Change or a telephone card for use on the public phones
  • Current prescription medications in their original containers (our medical director must approve all medications before they may be used during treatment)

What not to Bring

  • Alcohol, drugs or over-the-counter medications (OTC medications must be given to staff on arrival and approved by the physician before being used)
  • Work
  • Books and magazines not directly related to recovery
  • Valuables (such as expensive jewelry)
  • Cameras
  • Electronics (including laptops, mp3 players, CD and DVD players, radios and electronic games)
  • Weapons of any kind
