Director of Risk Management
Since joining Acadia as a Behavioral Health Associate in 2021, Shelby has been committed to integrating a client-centered approach throughout every aspect of treatment. Presently, she serves as the Director of Risk Management at Azure Acres and another Acadia treatment center. In her role at Azure Acres, she cultivates a nurturing environment that promotes client healing and wellness. Throughout her tenure at Acadia, Shelby has showcased steadfast dedication to excellence and a proactive stance in meeting the evolving needs of clients and staff alike.
Shelby holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Administration complemented by nearly completed studies for a Master of Social Work degree through Arizona State University. She is committed to fostering collaboration and open communication across departments, encouraging staff to actively participate in risk identification and mitigation efforts. Shelby is dedicated to listening to and advocating for clients, ensuring that their voices are heard and their concerns addressed in all risk management initiatives. She strives to create a culture of empathy and respect within the organization, where clients feel valued and empowered to participate in their own care and safety.
