Jo Benwell is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. She graduated from John F. Kennedy University.
She also has a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration from the University of San Francisco. Jo lived in San Francisco for 25 years where she was the coordinator of the Alcohol and Drug Treatment Program at St. Mary’s Hospital. She did her training-ships at Garden Sullivan Hospital and Marshal Hale Hospital in San Francisco. Her intern-ship was at MPI Chemical Dependency Treatment Center in Oakland. Jo is specialized in the treatment of Chemical Dependency and Forensic Psychiatry. Her volunteer work includes joining a Marin Biology Team in the study of the Pink River Dolphin in the Amazon, Brazil, teaching English to Novus Buddhist Monks in Laos, and is a Law Enforcement Chaplin. Her greatest passion is travel and plans to go to go to North India this summer to volunteer with Cross Culture Solutions in a project that helps empower girls and women in education and business.
