Dena Josephs, CADC II
Counselor
Dena, RAS III, started at Azure Acres in March 2022. She was inspired to start a career in behavioral healthcare to help others recover from addiction and begin their mental wellness journeys.
Prior to Azure Acres, Dena worked in Marin County Jail as a Recovery Coach with the Probation Department. In this position she helped clients navigate and move forward from incarceration. Dena also served as an AODS Counselor and an Advocate for clients of Mental Health at West County Community Services and sat on the board of RxSafe Marin, a program designed to hold drug manufacturers and prescribers accountable for prescribing addictive medications.
Dena came to Azure because she had several friends begin their recovery here and witnessed their transformation firsthand. In her spare time, she volunteers for a nonprofit organization that helps raise money for various community efforts.
